Here’s how we’re getting closer to zero footprint:
- Since 1996, Bentley Prince Street’s waste sent to landfill per unit of product has been reduced by 92%.
- Bentley Prince Street has reduced its net greenhouse gas emissions per unit of product by 51% through improved efficiencies and the purchase of certified renewable energy credits.
- Bentley Prince Street has achieved 100% renewable electricity for its City of Industry, California facility through the purchase of certified renewable energy credits combined with power generated by an on-site photovoltaic array.
- Bentley Prince Street’s water intake per square meter of carpet is down 64% since 1996 due to process improvements.
- 20% of Bentley Prince Street’s employees use some sort of alternative transportation to get to work every day.
- Bentley Prince Street’s manufacturing facility in City of Industry, CA has been certified to ISO 14001 as well as ISO 9001.

Guidance, Inc., of Marina del Rey, CA, is the integration partner and designer of the Bentley Prince Street Rugs web site. Through the Guidance Green initiative, Guidance has made the following commitments:
- To operate as an environmentally aware carbon-neutral company by 2009. (Goal achieved in 2007
- To minimize consumption, reuse and recycle material waste produced through Guidance business activities.
- To reduce energy waste produced through Guidance business activities.
- To expand the ‘Guidance Green’ mission into the community through the participation and creation of eco-friendly events.
